Links, Photos Will Stop Being Counted In 140-Character Tweet Limit

Twitter founder and Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey has announced plans to stop counting photos and links in the 140-character limit for tweets within a time frame of the next couple weeks, according to Business Insider.

The motive for the change is to offer more space for text, a change Twitter users have wanted for quite some time and some see as overdue. This comes in the aftermath of some uninspired earnings and reports from the company since the return of Dorsey to run the company, according to Business Insider.
