HARRISON, N.Y. – Westchester Sports and Wellness in Harrison announced that board certified, licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist Nicole DeLorey has joined the practice.
DeLorey has worked as an acupuncturist in both hospital and private practice settings in Mnhattan.
She has extensive experience in sports medicine acupuncture and frequently works with athletes and elite dancers to treat repetitive strain and dance injuries. Her patients include Broadway performers and principal dancers from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. In addition, she works with non-athletes seeking relief of muscle pain, joint pain, and stress-related conditions.
DeLorey’s interest in acupuncture developed during her work as a massage therapist, when exposure to injured athletes and dancers made her want to learn more about how the body can heal itself through natural methods. This interest motivated her to obtain her master of science degree at Tri-State College of Acupuncture and become certified in sports medicine acupuncture. In addition, she completed a year-long fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital and Continuum Center for Health and Healing, where she learned how to integrate eastern and western medicine to alleviate many conditions.
Westchester Sports and Wellness is a sports chiropractic and acupuncture wellness center, which has served the Westchester and Greater New York area for more than ten years. The practice has been headed by Robert Inesta since 2004.
“Nicole’s unique skill set and expertise adds a new dimension to the practice, and I am thrilled that she has joined the Westchester Sports & Wellness team. Nicole’s arrival as well as our relocation allow us to better serve our patients by providing a full spectrum of therapeutic options under one roof,” said Inesta.
