Metro-North Back Up and Running

STAMFORD, Conn.—Metro-North restored service to the New Haven Line at 12:49 p.m. after suspending the service due to a gas leak from an adjacent property to the station in Stamford, a spokesperson for the railroad said.

The Metro Transit Authority police suspended service for about a half hour from the time the leak was detected and taken care of.

The railroad is still experiencing some delays as a residual effect from the suspension of service, but should be back on schedule by the end of the day, the spokesperson said.
