Lenore Skenazy, author of "Free-Range Kids," is set to discuss how parents today can provide their children with the same freedoms enjoyed by children of previous generations. The free event is to be sponsored by the Byram Hills PTSA.

Among Skenazy's many parenting beliefs is the idea that the greatest risk while raising a child today is raising a child who is never allowed to encounter choice or independence.

Skenazy is to speak from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at the middle school, 10 MacDonald Ave., Armonk. Click here for more information on the event. Learn more about Skenazy on Facebook.
