Police in Port Chester and Rye Brook have been asked for assistance closing down parts of Bowman Avenue and controlling crowds and traffic in the area on Oct. 21. Additional details were not available today.

"Freeheld," a Peter Sollett-directed film, is based on Cynthia Wade's 2007 Academy Award-winning documentary of the same name about Stacie Andree and the late Laurel Hester.

The couple fought against the Freeholders of Ocean County, N.J., to amend the Domestic Partnership Act, which grants pension benefits to domestic partners of all New Jersey public employees.

The film tells the true story of Hester, a police detective (played by Moore) who became terminally ill and tried to transfer her pension benefits to Andree, played by Ellen Page.

Carell plays the supporting role of Steven Goldstein, a passionate advocate for Garden State Equality
