District Man Accused Of Murder At Northwest DC Rec Center: Feds

A 33-year-old District man pleaded not guilty to his role in the murder of Arnold Humberto Solis over the summer at the Marie Reed Recreation Center.

Pedro Funes has been charged with first-degree murder while armed for his alleged role in the 30 year old's death on Wednesday, July 26 in the 2200 block of Champlain Street NW in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, federal authorities announced.

Solis was reportedly shot and rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Fumes was arraigned this week and pleaded not guilty after the court found him complicit in the murder. He's now being held without bond pending his next court appearance on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
