Harrison Library Hosting Kids Programs This Week

HARRISON, N.Y. – The Harrison Public Library has a busy week ahead with multiple events for children.

On Wednesday at 10 a.m., the library will hold Circle Time for Tots, in which 1- to 3-year-olds will be read stories for a half-hour. A second session of Circle Time will be held at 11 a.m. At 4 p.m., the library will show the hit Pixar/Disney movie “Cars 2.”

The summer reading game continues on Thursday. Beginning at 2:30 p.m. and running for two hours, children will meet with library volunteers to discuss their progress on what they have read so far this summer.

On Friday, “Mad Science” returns to the library with a workshop titled “Optical Illusions.” Children will get a chance to build periscopes while learning about optics, reflection and sight. Signup is required and space is limited.
