HARRISON, N.Y. -- Even Elvis wants to help Harrison High School.
The Harrison High School Performing Arts Ensemble will be hosting "A Music Night To Remember" on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Harrison High School.
Performers include Alive N' Kickin', Patrick Perone and the Blue Suede Rockers Showband (an Elvis tribute act), Tracey DeLucia and Reunion, along with special guest appearances by Harrison High School Performing Arts students in band, chorus, dance, and orchestra.
The event is being organized by Carlo Riccobono, whose son in the band and whose two daughters played for Harrison. The event will help raise money for the students to go on annual trips.
"Money is getting tighter," Riccobono said. "It might not happen if parents don't take the initiative."
The high school band has opened for Joan Jett, performed at Yankee Stadium, and performs annually at the Stamford balloon parade and the New York City St. Patrick's Day parade. They are also planning on performing Bethel Woods.
"How many bands get to perform at Yankee Stadium?" Riccobono said.
