Fairfield Man Charged With Selling Fireworks

Ronald Cascone, 40, a Fairfield resident, was accused of selling fireworks out of a trailer and arrested on 141 counts of possession of an illegal explosive device Friday in Bridgeport, The Hartford Courant reported.

State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance estimated Cascone had more than 100 boxes of fireworks in the trailer. At about 6 p.m. Friday, Bridgeport police, with the help of state police and the FBI, arrested Cascone at 35 Lindley St., where he was allegedly selling fireworks from the trailer.

Cascone, of 71 Vermont Ave., was also charged with criminal attempt to sell fireworks and illegal possession of fireworks. He was released on bond, police said. Police said they expect to make more arrests.
