SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. A Pound Ridge woman told Lewisboro police on Friday that she fled to a friends home in South Salem after her husband attempted to rape her, according to police records.
Lewisboro police were called to the residence at East Ridge Road in South Salem just after 11:00 p.m. where they interviewed the woman who alleged that her husband had attempted to rape her in their Pound Ridge residence. She said she was able to escape and flee to the friends house. Lewisboro police notified Pound Ridge police of the incident who, along with state police, went to the womens residence in Pound Ridge to interview the husband.
Lewisboro police say the man was arrested, but state police and the Westchester County District Attorneys office would not confirm that on Tuesday. The Daily Lewisboro will provide more details when they become available.
The woman was taken to the Northern Westchester Hospital Center with injuries to her shoulder, back and wrist.

FEB. 13
Police were dispatched to Hall Avenue in Goldens Bridge for a dispute between neighbors. The resident told police that his neighbor had urinated on the side of the road while the resident was in his driveway with his grandchildren. Police visited the neighbors house, who admitted he urinated, but said he had done it in the woods. He said he was taking his daily walk and couldnt make it home in time. The mans mother said he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and was on medication. State police arrived and requested that the man stay away from his Hall Avenue neighbor.
FEB. 14
Police were called to Manor Drive for a suspicious incident. The resident said her dog had begun to bark and her doorbell rang, but there was no one there. She requested a patrol to do a property check. Police walked the property and found no sign of anyone.
FEB. 15
Police intervened in a domestic verbal dispute at an East Street residence in South Salem. Officers were called to the home where they spoke to the husband who said his wife had taken his digital recorder and refused to return it. The wife denied the accusation. Police allowed the husband to search for the device, but he was unable to find it. A domestic incident report was filed.
Police were called to John Jay High School for a larceny report. Officers met with a students mother who said that her daughters cell phone had been stolen from her book bag. The bag was left unattended several times because the student was on crutches and her bag was taken to classes for her by aides. There were no witnesses or further information.
FEB. 17
Police were called to a Meadow Street residence in Goldens Bridge to aid emergency services. Goldens Bridge Fire Department was on the scene along with the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Westchester EMS. The victim had cut his leg, which had not been treated for several days and was turning gangrenous. He was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital for further treatment and observation.
FEB. 19
Police responded to Four Winds Hospital for a patient that was acting unstable. The hospital requested that he be transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for his reported chest pains.
The patient was getting agitated, and the hospital asked for police assistance. Officers were able to calm him and he agreed to be transported the hospital.
