Temple Beth Abraham will be hosting the Winter Package Delivery, which will take place Sunday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Orientations are from 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. There will be arts & crafts for the kids.

All volunteers must bring photo ID to participate. ID numbers will be recorded. To visit the same senior again through DOROT, request a pre-match.

DOROT alleviates social isolation among the elderly through the assistance of volunteers, fostering mutually beneficial relationships while enabling older adults to remain independent in their homes.

In Westchester since 2004, DOROT programs include food deliveries, weekly volunteer visits, intergenerational Shabbat celebrations, youth volunteer programs, teleconference classes and support groups.

Registration for the volunteer program is open until Jan. 26. For more information about DOROT Westchester, call Westchester Director Pattie Cippi Harte at 914-573-8906.

Temple Beth Abraham is at 25 Leroy Ave., Tarrytown.
