Pound Ridge Garden Club Kicks Off 75th Year With Moss Workshop

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge Garden Club will hold the first lecture and workshop of its 75th year with "Trampled Under Foot" on Tuesday, March 8.

Taro Letaka, moss expert and director of Conservation at Rye Nature Center, will discuss recognizing and appreciating moss and conduct a workshop. 

Participants are asked to bring specimens of moss from their property, a hand lens or loup and a 6 inch saucer to hold a piece of felt. They will take home a mini-moss garden with labeled specimens.

The program begins at 10:30 a.m.
