Two Long Island Store Clerks Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minors

Two Long Island store clerks were charged with selling alcohol to minors.

Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime officers conducted an undercover alcohol operation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.

Police said the two locations where alcohol was sold to undercover agents were:

  • BP Gas, 1460 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia. The clerk, Bensaiah Haithem, 30, of Holbrook, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • One Stop Deli, 408 Rosevale Ave., Ronkonkoma. The clerk, Patel Vishuvhai, 43, of Ronkonkoma, was also charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
Haithem and Vishuvhai were issued Field Appearance Tickets and will be arraigned at a later date.

  • · BP Gas, 402 Rosevale Ave., Ronkonkoma
  • · 76 Gas, 440 Hawkins Ave., Ronkonkoma
  • · Amoco Gas, 292 Ronkonkoma Ave., Ronkonkoma
  • · Speedway Gas, 2825 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove
  • · Conoco Gas, 3089 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove
