Kevin Lamont Chaney, 34, of Salisbury, has been identified as the man who was shot in Wicomico County on Monday, July 31 and later died at Tidal Health Medical Center, authorities announced on Tuesday morning.
Police say that shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday night, officers from the Salisbury Police Department were called to the Pemberton Manor Apartments on Fairground Drive to investigate a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, they found Chaney suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of the complex, and the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was notified to investigate.
No information about a possible shooter has been released by investigators, who are still interviewing witnesses and area residents. The incident remains under investigation.
