Teen Busted Months After Fatal Shooting Of 19-Year-Old In Baltimore: Police

A months-long investigation into the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in Baltimore has led to the apprehension of a teenage suspect, police say.

Clifton Devon Shields, 17, of Baltimore, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Tavon Wilson, Jr. earlier this year, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Early on Thursday, March 16, officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called to the 600 block of North Arlington Avenue, where there were reports of a man who was lying in the street.

Upon arrival, officers say that they found Wilson unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. 

According to the department, Shields was developed as a suspect, and he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. 

He is being held pending his next court appearance.
