LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- The MAC Angels Foundation will honor Larchmont resident Christopher J. Curtin with its “Halo of Hope” Award Nov. 9 at its annual gala at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase beginning at 6 p.m.
The event includes cocktails, dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions. Music will be provided by the band, ETA Music. Click here to register and buy tickets. Admission is $200.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Each year, MAC Angels honors an individual who shows leadership, strength, motivation and determination in supporting families with ALS.
Curtin began his journey with ALS in 2004, when childhood friend Claire Gormley Collier was diagnosed with the terminal disease. Curtin immediately reached out to Gormley Collier and her family to provide as much support as possible. During her battle with ALS, Curtin served as one of Gormley Collier’s caregivers and learned first hand what living with ALS was like..
