HARRISON, N.Y. -- The sixth annual Manhattanville College Sports Business Career Fair will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Reid Castle on the Manhattanville College campus.
This annual event is developed by the Manhattanville Sport Business Management Master’s Degree Program, and is being offered to those interested in pursuing a career in the sports business industry.
"Hiring managers from major sports organizations, including the U.S. Tennis Association, ESPN, WFAN, Major League Soccer, several professional teams and numerous boutique companies in the industry will be present," representatives said in a release.
The guest speaker at the fair is Jerry Cifarelli, the founder and president of ANC Sports. "ANC is considered the industry leader in team and venue services, providing integrated signage, design, and marketing solutions for sports and commercial facilities, such as the Dallas Cowboys massive video board (which weighs 1.2 million pounds and the video screen spans 25,670 square feet)," according to the release.
“We are pleased and proud to continue to offer this event as an outgrowth of our thriving Sport Business Management Program at Manhattanville College,” Dave Torromeo, the director of the Sport Business Management Program, said in the release. “Based on the sport business curriculum we have developed, our convenient location, and relationships with the sports business leaders, hosting events like this is natural. Offering these events provides an invaluable tool for the industry, and for students interested in a career in sports, which is a competitive, dynamic and growing market.”
