The 36th Annual “It’s Great to Live in Harrison” parade and festival was held in downtown Harrison and Riis Park on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Village and county officials, organizations and first responders were all in attendance, along with thousands of residents.

“Today is all about the spirit of the Harrison community,” Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-Westchester) said. “I think everyone here today expresses the fact that this is a great place to raise a family.”

County executive candidate and New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson also came out for the event.

“Can you imagine a more all-American theme than celebrating your neighbors and community? Harrison has the great virtues of a classic 1950s town with a rich civic vibe. There’s so many people who are proud to live here,” he said.
