PURCHASE, N.Y.-- Manhattanville College in Purchase will host its annual Fall Writers' Weekend starting Friday at 7 p.m. public readings by prominent Native American and Iranian novelists.
Diane Glancy is a noted Native American author, who has published novels including "Pushing the Bear: After the Trail of Tears" and "The Reason for Crows: A Novel of Kateri Tetakwitha."
Dina Nayeri is an Iranian now living in Oklahoma. Her debut novel, "A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea" was released in 2013 and is already translated into 13 foreign languages, and selected as a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers book.
Public readings will start at 7 p.m. in Reid Hall. They are open and free to the public.
Reid Hall is on the Manhattanville campus, 2900 Purchase St.
