Storyland: 10:30-11 a.m. Children ages 3-5 will read stories, listen to songs and do other activities. Siblings are welcome. Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Board games: 4-5 p.m. Friends and family members of all ages can roll the dice and play some old-fashioned board games in the Friends of the Library-sponsored event at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Meditation at Library: 7-8:30 p.m. Learn how to meditate during this library event. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
Computer Orientation: 10:30-11:30 a.m. This Harrison Public Library class is for people to learn the computerized library catalog and the Internet. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Wednesday, Jan. 9
Harrison High School PTA Meeting: 9:30-10:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at Harrison High School. 255 Union Ave., Harrison.
Circle Time for Tots: 10-10:30 a.m. and 11-11:30 a.m. Children ages 1-3 are invited to the Harrison Public Library for story time, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Harrison Board of Education Meeting: 8:15 p.m. The meeting takes place at the LMK Middle School Library.
Thursday, Jan. 10
Mother Goose Time: 10:30-11 a.m. Boys and girls 3 years old and younger, plus their siblings, can participate in this event at the West Harrison Library. 2 Madison St., West Harrison.
S.J. Preston PTA Meeting: 7 p.m. The PTA will meet at the school. 50 Taylor Ave., West Harrison.
Friday, Jan. 11
Open Play: 10 a.m. to noon. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children can meet up to cool off, play, read and have fun at the West Harrison Library, 2 Madison St., West Harrison.
