What To Do In Harrison This Week

HARRISON, N.Y. – A school board meeting, library events and an organizational meeting highlight this week’s events in Harrison and West Harrison.

Monday, Nov. 26:

Storyland: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Children ages 3-5 will read stories, listen to songs and do other activities. Siblings are welcome. Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Story time: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Children ages 3-5 can participate in this event at the West Harrison Library, 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Board games: 4 to 5 p.m. Friends and family members of all ages can roll the dice and play some old-fashioned board games in the Friends of the Library-sponsored event at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Hadassah Film Festival: 7 to 8:30 p.m. This free Jewish women-based film festival will have "Making Trouble" on in the Harrison Public Library. It will chronicle the careers of six famous Jewish comic performers. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison. 

Tuesday, Nov. 27:

Computer Orientation: 10 to 11 a.m. This Harrison Public Library class is for people to learn the computerized library catalog and the Internet. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Open Play: 11 a.m. to noon. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children can meet up to cool off, play, read and have fun at the West Harrison Library, 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Social Emotional Transition to College for Parents: 7 p.m. This event will take place in the LMK Middle School auditorium. 50 Union Ave., Harrison.

Wednesday, Nov. 28:

Circle Time for Tots: 10 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 to 11:30 a.m. Children ages 1-3 are invited to the Harrison Public Library for story time, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.?

Harrison Board of Education Meeting: 7:15 p.m. This meeting will take place at LMK Middle School. 50 Union Ave., Harrison.

Thursday, Nov. 29:

Mother Goose time: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Boys and girls ages 3 and younger, plus their siblings, can participate in this event at the West Harrison Library. 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Eighth Grade Winter Concert: 7:15 p.m. This concert will take place at LMK Middle School. 50 Union Ave., Harrison.

Friday, Nov. 30:

Senior Citizens Club: Noon to 3 p.m. The Harrison Senior Citizens Club will get together to discuss items of interest and play bingo at the Veterans Building. For more information, call 914-227-7088. 210 Halstead Ave., Harrison.
