What To Do In Harrison This Week

HARRISON, N.Y. – Holiday concerts and board meetings highlight this week’s events in Harrison and West Harrison.

Monday, Dec. 3

Harrison Avenue School Winter Concert: 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. The concert will take place in the school auditorium. 480 Harrison Ave., Harrison.

Storyland: 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Children ages 3-5 will read stories, listen to songs and do other activities. Siblings are welcome. Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Board games: 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Friends and family members of all ages can roll the dice and play some old-fashioned board games in this Friends of the Library-sponsored event at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Village/Town Board Meetings: 7:30 p.m. There will be a public hearing on the 2013-2014 preliminary budget. 1 Heineman Place, Harrison.

Tuesday, Dec. 4
Music for Children: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Jeffrey Friedberg of the Bossy Frog Band will perform children's music for preschoolers at the Harrison Public Library. Siblings are welcome. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.
Open Play: 11 a.m.-noon. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children can meet up to cool off, play, read and have fun at the West Harrison Library, 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Purchase Elementary Winter Concert: 7 p.m. The concert will take place at Harrison High School. 255 Union Ave., Harrison.

Wednesday, Dec. 5
Purchase Elementary Holiday Family Night: 7 p.m. This event will take place at Purchase Elementary. 2995 Purchase St., Purchase.
Meet the Author: 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Library visitors can meet Marc DiGiacomo, author of “In a Small Town.” Light refreshments will be provided. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Thursday, Dec. 6
LMK Winter Concert: 7:15 p.m. The LMK seventh-grade students will perform at the concert. 50 Union Ave., Harrison.

Friday, Dec. 7
Senior Citizens Club: Noon-2 p.m. The Harrison Senior Citizens Club will get together to discuss items of interest and play Bingo at the Veterans Building. For more information, call 914-227-7088. 210 Halstead Ave., Harrison.
