Monday, Jan. 21

All Harrison government offices and schools are closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. However, the Harrison Public Library is open. The West Harrison Library is not.  Story Time: 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Children ages 3-5 can participate in this event at the Harrison Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Tuesday, Jan. 22 (Regents Exams/Midterms)

Computer Orientation: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The West Harrison Library class is geared for people to learn the computerized library catalog and the Internet. 2 Madison St., West Harrison. 

Tuesday Trains: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Kids can play with the West Harrison Library's new trains. 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Open Play: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children can meet up to play, read and have fun at the West Harrison Library, 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Wednesday, Jan. 23 (Regents Exams/Midterms)

Karaoke: 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. This West Harrison Library event is for children ages 5-12. Kids can "be a rock star at the library." 2 Madison St., West Harrison.

Photography Workshop: 7 p.m.-8 p.m. A member of the Westchester Photographic Society will discuss how to take pictures and many other things as well. You are asked to register. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison.

Board of Education Meeting: 8:15 p.m. The Harrison Board of Education will meet in the LMK Middle School library. 50 Union Ave., Harrison.

Finals Night: 9 p.m.-midnight. This Harrison Public Library event is for Harrison High School students looking to study or calm themselves before Regents exams and midterms. Registration is not required, but you must present your student ID to attend. Light refreshments will be served. The event also takes place Monday at the same time. 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison. 

Thursday, Jan. 24 (Regents Exams/Midterms) Mother Goose Time: 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Boys and girls 3 years old and younger, plus their siblings, can participate in this event at the West Harrison Library. 2 Madison St., West Harrison. Dawny Dew Children's Event: 10:30 a.m.-10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m.-11:20 a.m. Boys and girls up to age 6 can “wiggle and giggle” while they “pretend to be wild and wonderful animals” at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Ave., Harrison. Friday, Jan. 25 (Regents Exams/Midterms) Senior Citizens Club: Noon-3 p.m. The Harrison Senior Citizens Club will get together to discuss items of interest and play bingo at the Veterans Building.
