HARRISON, N.Y. — A meeting of the Board of Education highlights the week ahead in Harrison.

Monday, April 9

Schools Closed : All schools in the Harrison Central School District are closed today.

Italian Class : 1:45 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. Italian classes begin for 3– to 5-year-olds. Children will learn Italian through interactive, dynamic methods that include music, art, puppetry, dance and more. Theater Arts Rehearsal : 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students at Parsons Memorial School will have rehearsals for “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” 200 Halstead Ave., Harrison.

Tennis Lessons : 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tennis lessons begin in Harrison at the tennis courts at Harrison Avenue School. The session lasts for 16 classes. Fees for kids in grades three through five is $320, while the fee for kids in grades six through nine is $480. Checks may be made payable to Jeff Green, 480 Harrison Ave., Harrison.

Creative Movement Through Dance : 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Children ages 2–4 will get an introduction to dance through creative movement games and imaginative stories. The fee is $105 for eight weeks. Fire Commissioner’s Meeting : 8 p.m. A fire commissioner’s meeting will be held at the West Harrison Firehouse, 95 Lake St., West Harrison.

Archery Class : 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Learn the basics of archery, including safety, shooting techniques, scoring, tackles and care maintenance. Registration fee is $75 for 10 one-hour sessions. Veterans Park (Crystal Street), Harrison.
