HARRISON, N.Y. - From Bingo to movies to plays, there's plenty to do this weekend in Harrison.

Friday

  • Samuel J. Preston Elementary School will hold a Bingo night beginning at 7 p.m.
  • The Eighth Annual “Focus on French” film festival begins at SUNY Purchase at 7 p.m. An opening gala will follow at 9 p.m. The festival continues on Saturday and Sunday. For more information visit the festival's website .
  • Vendetta Chrome, a play by Sylvan Oswald and directed by Zach Morris, will be performed at the Humanities Theatre at SUNY Purchase at 8 p.m. General Admission is $10. Students, faculty and staff pay $5.
  • Harrison High School (HHS) will perform “42nd Street” at 7 p.m. at the HHS auditorium.

Saturday

  • The Harrison Public Library is offering tutors for academic help from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Purchase Elementary School will perform “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at 11 a.m.
  • Manhattanville College is holding admission tours and interviews at the Reid Castle from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.  For more information call 914-323-5464.
  • The West Harrison Public Library will host Family Movie Time at 2 p.m.

  • Harrison High School (HHS) will host two performances of “42nd Street” at the HHS auditorium. The first show begins at 2 p.m. while the second performance starts at 7 p.m.

  • Purchase Elementary School will perform “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at 11 a.m.
  • Manhattanville College will host a Health Fair from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Spellman Hall.
