HARRISON, N.Y. -- Lucy and Steve Selvaggio's restaurant, Casa d’Italia, and its 18-year run is no mistake if you ask any of the deli's loyal sandwich lovers, according to the New York Times.
The deli, famously know for its creamy mozzarella and fresh chicken cutlets, sells sandwiches and panninis, including the Bronx Tale made with cutlet and basil pesto, as well as the popular Nicky Surprise and the Italian Flag, according to the New York Times.
It was no surprise the deli was opened after Lucy Selvaggio developed a severe appreciation for deli and bakeries in the Bronx where she and Steve grew up, reported the New York Times.
Casa d’Italia is located at 265 Halstead Avenue in Harrison, N.Y. and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact (914) 835-6370 or visit casaditalia.com .
