Ex-Harrison Veteran Ruggiero Dies at 91

HARRISON, N.Y. - Claude A. Ruggiero, a former Harrison resident, died at his home on Nov. 11. He was 91.

He was born on March 1, 1920 in Malvito, Italy to the late Francesco and Marietta Ruggiero. Most recently of Carmel, N.Y., Ruggiero was the national sales promotion manager a Seagram's Company and a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army. 

Ruggiero is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ruggiero, his sons Gary (Yolande) Ruggiero of Red Bank, N.J. and David (Andrea) Ruggiero of Howell, N.J., his daughters Claudia Angel of Merrick, N.Y., Beth (William) Bookless of New Fairfield, Conn., Suzanna Pastor of Harrison and Patricia Sigurdson of Woolwich, Maine and 14 grandchildren.

Calling hours are 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. The funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
