Feeney auditioned with thousands of other hopefuls for a position in the Radio City Music Hall Rockette Summer Intensive. The experience allows the country’s young dancers the opportunity to train for more than six hours a day with current Rockettes and Radio City choreographers and directors.

“Being accepted into the Rockette Summer Intensive was truly an honor,” Feeney said in a statement. “Students come to RSI (Rockettes Summer Intensive) with an advanced knowledge of tap, jazz and ballet but are developing the skills necessary to perform with a dance team that is world-renowned in precision dance performance.”

After experiencing the grueling regiment the Rockettes go through in order to perform during the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Feeney has developed a different level of appreciation for the dancers.

“I’ve learned so much from training with three Rockettes, not only about dance, but about the commitment and lifestyle a Rockette endures,” Feeney said in a statement. “Overall, RSI was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again next summer!”
