HARRISON, N.Y. -- Its time to clean up Harrison. The town will host National Spring Spruce Up Day on Saturday, April 14 rain or shine.
Harrison is looking for volunteers to come out and clean up the towns roadways, parks, wooded areas and streams. The town is targeting locations that include Ma Riis Park, Veterans Park, the stream behind Louis M. Klein Middle School, the Beaver Swamp Brook Corridor and West Street near the I-95 bridge.
In West Harrison, clean-up spots include the boulevard, various locations around Silver Lake and Underhill Avenue and the village green. According to Mayor Ron Belmont, clean-up crew leaders will be at every location and provide lawn bags and instructions on what the town needs done.
Come full of energy and prepare to make a difference, Belmont said. Take pride in Harrisons appearance.
For more information call Mayor Belmont at (914) 670-3009 or visit the mayors office in town hall at 1 Heineman Place.
