HARRISON, N.Y. – Library Director Galina Chernykh is inviting families to the Harrison Public Library Wednesday morning to have family portraits taken as part of the “Building Common Ground” series.
A month ago, the West Harrison Library offered the service to residents. On Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m., downtown residents will have the chance to get a family portrait taken.
“We did this last December where we took winter holiday family portraits,” Chernykh said. “This was to celebrate the holidays and out community. This blends together with our recent programs because we can visual see our differences but realize how similar we are.”
Chernykh said the photos will be posted on the library’s website. She is hoping to coordinate with the town and maybe have them exhibited in the fall. All families will be asked to sign a permission slip before taking the photos.
