Chirico grew up in Westchester and first played tennis at seven years old at the Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester. She first set herself apart at 13 when she was a part of the U.S. Tennis Association’s player development program at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, where the U.S. Open is played, according to the Times.
