HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison's Judy Fink is set to receive the Golden Harvest Distinguished Service Award for her dedication to enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens, according to WJCS.

Fink is scheduled to be honored and receive the award from the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging during an awards breakfast on Oct. 3 at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill, 81 Highland Ave. in Tarrytown, according to a press release from WJCS. Fink is one of three honorees who will receive awards. Janice Lubin Kirschner of Pleasantville is also set to receive the Humanitarian Award and Rita C. Mabli of New Rochelle is set to receive the Golden Harvest Jim Curran Leadership Award, according to the release.

“The prestigious Golden Harvest Awards recognize service of the highest order to enhance the quality of life for the elderly," said County Executive Robert Astorino in the release. "The wonderful achievements and dedication of these honorees throughout their long careers are examples for us all to follow.”

For more than 18 years, Fink, director of geriatric services at WJCS, has been "helping seniors and their families and/or caregivers 'age in place' whenever possible, in their homes and communities that they love," according to the release.

Fink provides geriatric care management to hundreds of Westchester seniors and oversees the WJCS/DSPS Greenburgh Livable Communities Connections Project, according to the release.

Mae Carpenter, commissioner of Westchester County’s Department of Senior Programs and Services (DSPS), said "the distinguished honorees have helped tens of thousands of seniors and their families over the years," according to the release.

“They are passionate about their work,” Carpenter said in the release. “Their contributions have been outstanding.”
