WEST HARRISON, N.Y. Louis J. Marinelli of West Harrison died May 18. He was 95.
Born Sept. 6, 1916 to Joseph and Anna Marinelli, he graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford. Marinelli married Blanche Alfero in 1942 and they lived in Elmsford and White Plains before settling in West Harrison.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he became a carpenter, builder and master craftsman. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the Harrison Senior Citizens.
Marinelli was predeceased by his wife, Blanche; a brother, James, and a nephew, Michael Pinto. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Anthony (Josephine) Alfero; his cousins, Cecelia Marinelli and Joseph DeGiacinto and many nieces and nephews, to whom he was known as "Uncle Lou."
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
