Harrison DPW Worker Michael L. Falkenstern Dies at 29

HARRISON, N.Y. – Town public works employee Michael L. Falkenstern of Harrison died May 12 after battling cancer for a couple of years. He was 29.

Falkenstern was born on Oct. 25, 1982 and spent his entire life living in Harrison. Known affectionately to his friends as "Hursty," Falkenstern attended Parsons Memorial School, Louis M. Klein Middle School and Harrison High School. Falkenstern was hired by the Harrison Department of Public Works (DPW) in 2002, a job he worked for the past 10 years.

Falkenstern is survived by his mother Carole. The wake will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday night at the Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home located at 767 E. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.
