Armonk Commons Now Accepting Affordable Housing Applications

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Applications for affordable housing in Armonk Commons, are now being accepted.

The estimated sale price of the 10 two-bedroom apartments is $250,000 with a state subsidy of $40,000, which brings the net sales price to $210,000. 

Estimated monthly real estate taxes are $400 to $420 and estimated monthly common charges are $260 to $290. T

he maximum income limits: 

  • $67,650 for two people
  • $76,100 for three people 
  • $84,550 for four people 
  • $91,350 for five people

The first-floor plans by Future Home Technology show a 145-square foot kitchen and a 175-square foot living room and full bathroom. The second floor level offers a 158-square foot master bedroom and a 127-square foot second bedroom separated by a full bathroom.

The lower basement includes the indoor mechanicals and are unfinished. The master bedroom’s front view looks out toward the hillside of the Betsy Sluder Nature Preserve. 

In the backyard, there are small individual patios, a newly masoned brick wall, and a hillside which will be landscaped. 

There are two parking areas for 24 cars. One of the parking lots separates the two buildings.

The streetscapes will be provided by Westchester County and will be approved by the Town of North Castle. 

The application requires Federal Tax Returns from 2015, 2014 and 2013, and other financial and personal documents. The deadline for the applications is Feb. 29.
