ARMONK, N.Y. – North Castle police are investigating two separate fatal car accidents Saturday morning that occurred in different parts of town.

The first accident took place around 9 a.m., when an unidentified woman was driving a black Mercedes Benz and drove off Hickory Pass by Cedar Hill Road and into some trees, police said. Rescue workers transported her to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco where she later succumbed to her injuries, police said.

In the second accident that happened around 10 a.m., police believe a man in a Mercury Grand Marquis had exited I-684 on his way to the county airport when he collided with a man driving a Ford pickup truck that was traveling south on Route 120 near Airport Road. Both men were also taken to Northern Westchester Hospital, where one of them died. It was not yet clear which of the two male drivers died in the accident. The condition of the survivor was unknown.
