HARRISON, N.Y. -- State Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-93rd District) announced he has secured more than $3.5 million in state aid for repairs and maintenance along Route 120 in the Town of Harrison.

“Keeping our roads in good working condition will help drivers stay safe,” Buchwald said in a prepared statement. “Investments in infrastructure not only improve the condition of our local roads, they make the area more attractive to businesses and help support the local economy.”

Buchwald, whose district covers Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pound Ridge and half of White Plains,  secured the money for the "NY Works" capital program earlier this year in the state budget.

The money serves as a supplement to the existing state road and bridge capital plan and was created to help the state Department of Transportation accelerate infrastructure repairs it deems necessary, including the Route 120 project.
