Birds, Cookie Monster Are Harbingers Of Spring In Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. -- When Cookie Monster roams the village streets in Harrison, it's a sure sign of springlike weather.

Cookie Monster and Dana, representing Murray's Ice Cream at 240 Halstead Ave., Harrison, were outside waving to motorists and shop owners along Harrison Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

The duo took advantage of temperatures that climbed into the upper 50s.

Happy birds also were enjoying the sunshine in the municipal parking lot off of Harrison Avenue.
