Castelli Visits PepsiCo HQ in Harrison for Disabled Workers

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Assemblyman Robert J. Castelli (R, C - Goldens Bridge) stopped by Harrison's PepsiCo headquarters this week for a presentation celebrating the 15th annual CAREERS for People with Disabilities, Inc. awards ceremony.

One hundred forty-six CAREERS clients were recognized for employment anniversaries ranging from one to 27 years and Castelli presented them with official New York State Assembly Certificates.

“For over 20 years, the volunteers at CAREERS have provided a priceless service to those challenged and handicapped in our community,” Castelli said. “Once again they have proven that those individuals can become productive parts of our society, and succeed in their own right, if given an opportunity and a helping hand.”

Workers and guests attended the celebration at PepsiCo headquarters in Purchase and were recognized individuals with disabilities and organizations who support CAREERS' mission of providing work for people with disabilities in Westchester and Putnam Counties.

“I support the kindness and caring of CAREERS, and applaud them for over two decades of service to the disabled in our community,” Castelli said.

Since 1987, CAREERS has provided job placement and support services to people with disabilities, made over 1,800 individual job placements and provided services to over 6,000 people.
