Con Ed Close to Fully-Restoring Harrison Electric

HARRISON, N.Y. - The lights have steadily come back on in Harrison as Consolidated Edison workers continued to restore electricity.

Con Ed reported 87 customers in Harrison left without power as of Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Almost 2,000 customers lost power after Tropical Storm Irene hit the region last weekend.

Westchester County is expected to be outage-free by the weekend, Con Ed said.

The eye of the storm reached New York City close to 9:00 a.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The numbers of outages has dropped drastically each day this week. Outages have sparked from fallen trees and intense flooding throughout the region.
