HARRISON, N.Y. - A bundle of new programs are coming to the Harrison Public Library this month as programming continues to expand under new Director Galina Chernykh.
A string of new events will begin Dec. 4 at the downtown library branch at 2 Bruce Ave. when Gentle Sleep Coach Ancy Lewis visits to discuss common factors that affect children's sleeping patterns. The event, scheduled for 2 p.m., will include tips on how to prepare parents and kids for holiday sleep disruption.
Families that speak either Japanese or Russian will be treated to unique story-reading sessions for ages two to five in Russian and Japanese with interactive reading and learning. Russian story time is scheduled for Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. and Japanese story time will be Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.
The library will also feature a new event, "A Day of Opera" with the Allegro Singers on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. featuring arias and duets from various famous operas.
