Freeman to Talk Freedom of Information in Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. - Open government guru Robert Freeman will make his way to Harrison next week when he hosts a community forum on freedom of information at the downtown library.

Freeman will be a guest speaker on Oct. 26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the 2 Bruce Ave. Harrison Library in an event sponsored by Mayor Joan Walsh, Harrison activist Lucille Held and The Harrison Report.

The forum will include discussions on the Freedom of Information Law, open meetings and personal privacy protection laws.

Freeman held a similar community forum last July in Mamaroneck in which he educated voters on what documents do and do not fall under FOIL jurisdiction.
