PURCHASE, N.Y. – Alyssa Guido scored a season-high 26 points for the Purchase women’s basketball team in a 65-57 victory over visiting John Jay College Monday.
The Panthers, now 4-6 overall, led 37-22 at the halftime break and kept the lead until the Bloodhounds cut the lead to six points inside the final two minutes of the second half before Purchase sealed the victory.
Forward Jess Lindsay, who was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll earlier in the day for her breakout performance last week, added 14 points and six rebounds. Captain Alyse LaPadula of New Rochelle contributed 12 points, four rebounds and shared a game-high six assists with teammate Jessica Bullock.
Purchase will host Old Westbury Thursday.
