HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Town of Harrison adopted a new master plan, the document that dictates development goals and outlines zoning recommendations, at a town board meeting on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to the Westchester County Business Journal.
A good portion of the town's new master plan revolves around the corporate parks known as the Platinum Mile, along Interstate 287 (the Cross Westchester Expressway). The plan calls for the potential rezoning of an area near the corporate parks that would allow for retail space and senior housing, the Westchester County Business Journal reported.
Other designs in the new master plan involve a new shopping center and condominiums in an area that was once a parking lot for the Metro-North Railroad station, the Westchester County Business Journal article said.
