Harrison Approves Sale Of E-Z Pass Tags

HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Harrison Town Clerk's office will begin selling E-Z Pass "On the Go" tags next month.

A proposal by Town Clerk Jackie Greer was approved by the Town Board at its Thursday night meeting. Greer had worked with the New York State Thruway Authority to make Harrison one of the first municipalities to offer the tags. The tags will be sold for $25 and can be used immediately after being purchased. Users must then register the tags within 48 hours of its first use by visiting the E-Z Pass website or by calling 1-800-697-1544.

The Town Clerk's office will start the program with 25 tags to see how they sell. The tags will be available to anyone who wishes to purchase them, not just to Harrison residents. Harrison will receive about 17 percent of the gross sales. For more information on purchase an E-Z Pass "On the Go" tag, contact the Town Clerk's office at 914-670-3030.
