Harrison Cools Down After Scorching Heat Wave

HARRISON, N.Y. – After three excruciatingly hot days during the week, temperatures in Harrison will be lower for the next few days.

As of 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported the temperature in Harrison to be 87 degrees, a relief from the 98 and 99-degree days Harrison experienced  Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, the temperature was reported at 90 degrees.

Sunday's forecast calls for 84 degrees during the day. After nightfall, the NWS is predicting the temperature to drop as low as 65 degrees, with an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms.

The NWS is also predicting a high of 77 degrees Monday with a 20 percent chance of rain, and 79 degrees Tuesday, which should be mostly sunny.
