Harrison Country Clubs Request Fireworks Shows

HARRISON, N.Y. – Three country clubs in town are asking the Harrison Town Board to approve fireworks shows for the Fourth of July at its meeting Thursday night.

The first request is from the Apawamis Club to have its celebration on Independence Day. Old Oaks Country Club is requesting the same date. In case of rain, they are asking the board to approve July 8 as a rain date. Finally, the Century Country Club in Purchase is asking for approval for a fireworks show and is requesting the Purchase Fire Department and Harrison EMS be on hand. They are requesting Sept. 2 as a rain date.

The board also is being asked to purchase a handicap lift to be used at the Brentwood Pool at a cost of $7,098. The trustees also are being asked to amend the budget from $20,600 to $20,000 to pay for the design of the Halstead Avenue streetscape project.
