Harrison Custodian Charged with Drug Possession

HARRISON, N.Y. - A Louis M. Klein Middle School custodian was arrested Friday when police discovered he was selling marijuana to co-workers, police said.

Angel Manuel Montes, 43, was pulled over by police on his way to work and brought into custody when they found marijuana in his car.

Police searched Montes's family home at 9 Dey St. with a search warrant and found close to 30 bags of marijuana and packaging materials. Marijuana joints were also found throughout the house, according to Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini.

He was a target in an ongoing investigation, police said.

Montes was charged with the misdemeanors of third-degree possession of marijuana and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Harrison Town Court on Aug. 16.
