Harrison Day Decorated With Belmont Balloons

HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison candidate for mayor and supervisor Ron Belmont was all over Monday's 'It's Great to Live in Harrison" day. Not only was he spotted throughout downtown Harrison, but his name was also seen floating throughout town as his supporters handed out official Belmont Team balloons.

The Belmont Team includes town board nominees Steve Malfitano, a former Harrison mayor, and current Town Councilman Fred Sciliano.

Belmont Team political signs throughout Harrison also featured candidate for town clerk Jackie Greer.

The Belmont Team wasn't the only political group seen at the holiday festivities. Democratic candidates were also mingling throughout the downtown Harrison events to make sure their names were known.

Candidate for county legislator Dan Brakewood was one of the many Democrats talking with residents at his party's campaign table set up at Ma Riis Park during and after the Halstead Avenue parade.

Belmont (R, C, I) will run for Harrison mayor and supervisor on Nov. 8's general election against incumbent Joan Walsh (D). Howard Hollander and Pat Vetere (D) will also join Malfitano and Sciliano in the race for town board. Greer (R) will run against Frank Corvino (D) for town clerk.
