HARRISON, N.Y. - There's good news on the way for pediatric patients, courtesy of the Harrison Emergency Medical Services. The group will accept a donation to help comfort children when they might need it the most.
West Harrison's Moose Lodge will be donating "Tommy Moose" to the Harrison EMS to benefit local pediatric patients. Harrison EMS Chief Joe Bilotto said it would go to benefit children during the roughest of times.
"It is supposed to be a package with coloring books and stuff that we hand out to kids involved in a traumatic situation to help comfort them," Bilotto said.
The care packages will be filled with various children's' items to help occupy the minds of kids as they work through traumatic situations, Bilotto said.
The Harrison EMS crew will be traveling to West Harrison on March 7 to visit the Moose Lodge at 6 p.m. There, they will accept the care packages and say thanks.
